Alisa takes Big Red, Cumbia & Sydney to the Vet

Big Red, Cumbia and Sydney had a big day last week at the vet. Big Red & Cumbia, female & male Red Foot Tortoises, as well as Sydney the Ecelctus Parrot had nail & beak trims. They were all good patients and we are grateful to Dr. Charles Duffy & his wonderful staff at Norwalk Veterinary Hospital.

First we wait for Cumbia to reveal his head.

Trimming commences!

Following their grooming session, the Red Foots are observed and they're all set to go home.

You might recognize the green burrito below - it's Sydney! Sydney is wrapped in a towel to restrict his movement. This keeps both bird & humans safe and comfortable.

Nobody can help but smile when seeing that little green face & orange beak!

One last check and Sydney is ready to go home.

Below, back in the car on the way home! Everyone is looking sharp.
